TTU to Host Coffey
Brian Coffey Jr. is another Georgia-based target unearthed by Tennessee Tech. The 2017 lead guard has composed a list of unofficial visits, which includes the Golden Eagles.
With an offer from UNC-Asheville, Coffey Jr. is now looking around to schools to check out. First, the junior will evaluate Wofford (August 29th).
Tennessee Tech gets Coffey Jr. to swing by September 12th. For Coffey Jr. the goal should be to leave each campus with a verbal offer. If he wants to get to high major level, then the low and mid major offers have to start filtering in this fall.
The aforementioned UNC-Asheville gets a visit, September 19th. Western Kentucky will host Coffey Jr. for a few hours and then Florida-Gulf Coast is lining up an October stop.
Tennessee Tech is attempting to find their next batch of guard leaders. A year from now Torrance Rowe and Josiah Moore will be gone, while Shirmane Thomas will be nearing the conclusion of his presumably successful OVC career.
To refuel Coach Steve Payne has offered five point guards in the 2016 class. From the 2017’s Coffey just might be the first to earn an offer.
All three arriving TTU freshmen are from the Atlanta-area. Coffey Jr. is yet another target from the city and outlying counties. Look back here for updates on Coffey Jr. and the TTU push for backcourt signings.
