Morehead State adds 2017 WG
Tuesday night, Morehead State added James Baker (Meade County HS) to the Class of 2017.
“James is a great athlete with a good skill level,” said AAU Coach Steve Quattrocchi. “He’s only going to improve as he continues to transition to the wing in college.”
James Baker will be added as a walk-on to the program.
The Kentucky-based player missed much of his senior season after tearing a ligament in his left hand. At 6-foot-6, Baker was able to return before the playoffs though and his presence was credited with pushing Meade County into the Sweet 16.

Baker’s Meade County young men were discharged by the Cooper 54-39, ending an improbable playoff run. Baker averaged 15.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in his senior season.
As the MSU Eagles’ roster is currently constructed James Baker will slide in behind fellow combo forwards LaMontray Harris and recent JuCo addition Trell Thompson.
“James has a really high ceiling and is a steal for Coach Spradlin,” said Coach Quattrocchi.
