EKU Promotes from Within
Tuesday Eastern Kentucky University promoted Terrence Commodore to an assistant coach position.
Commodore ascended from Colonels’ Video Coordinator/Director of Player Personnel, where he served during the 2015-16 season. In that role, the EKU graduate and native Kentuckian planned recruiting schedules for staff, assisted in on-campus official visits by recruits, and served as a liaison between players and the coaching staff.
“Terrence is a tireless worker who has the natural ability to relate to all types of players,” McHale said. “He has a very sharp basketball mind and is one of the best young recruiters in the country.”
Commodore infuses the staff with energy and organizational practices. He has an undergraduate degree from EKU and a masters from UK.
“I want to thank Coach McHale, Director of Athletics Stephen Lochmueller and President Michael Benson for this opportunity,” Commodore said. “It’s always been a goal of mine to be a Division I basketball coach, and to get my first job at my alma mater is a great honor. I look forward to helping Coach McHale as he continues to take this program to another level.”
