Deion Hammond Taking ACC Visit Sunday

Back in November OVCHoops.com introduced you to Deion Hammond.  The powerful guard just added a High Point offer to Cal-State Northridge,  Mount St. Mary’s, and Tennessee State offers.

Hammond’s father goes way back with Tennessee State Assistant Coach Rodney Hamilton.

“I was invited to UNC-Greensboro and Wake Forest on Sunday,” said Hammond.

Hammond will travel with his family and trainer this upcoming weekend down to North Carolina.  Saturday appears to be the day the caravan drops by UNC-Greensboro and High Point.

He looks forward to touring Wake Forest campus Sunday (2/21) afternoon and then the Class of 2017 guard will “catch the game against B.C.”

Currently Wake Forest does NOT have an available scholarship for the 2017 class.  A transfer or pro departure in the next 1.5 years would open one up.

High majors like Wake Forest and Nova have been in contact at some point.  Last summer Hammond ran with D.C. Thunder, an adidas outfit, but his allegiance for 2016 is undetermined.  His offer list is significant, but AAU this spring will truly be the vaulting point Hammond seeks.
