Bama State Champions Feature Multiple OVC Targets
Paul Bryant High School won the 6A State Championship in Alabama.
OVC coaches are dutifully scouring the state for future prospects. Murray State Head Coach Matt McMahon has been the most successful in the state recently (Tevin Brown, Jeffery Moss).
Paul W. Bryant HS has several OVC-capable players.
Kailex Stephens boasts a single D1 offer (North Alabama). Stephens stands 6-foot-5 and competes on the wing.
“UNA is going D1,” said Stephens. “They offered.”
Stephens’ list of interested schools is long and includes EKU, Austin Peay, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Tennessee, UAB, etc.
Class of 2018 forward Dylan Robertson generally ranks in the state’s 20-40 range for 2018. The 6-foot-7 forward has good height and will be evaluated heavily in the coming year. Right now the junior lacks a D1 offer.
Class of 2018 scoring guard Jared Sherfield (6’4″, 170) picked up a Tennessee Tech offer over the weekend.
