A host of OVC teams swing through Brighton for Gatlin
Taelyr Gatlin (Brighton) projects as a three-year OVC starter. He might wind up in a C-USA, Atlantic 10, or American uniform, but this week Gatlin will get fullcourt pressure from the OVC scouts.
“Cincinnati and TN Tech came today,” said HS Coach Stan Gatlin. “Expecting University of Denver, Murray State, EKU and Maryland to come through as well.”
Tennessee Tech scheduled is trying to schedule Gatlin’s first official visit. Likely weekend dates include: September 30th, October 28th, November 4th, and November 18th. Getting any recruit on campus is a plus and the Golden Eagles are out front to host. Will it pay off?
Tough to say. Coach Gatlin would like to attract several more significant offers, so that Taelyr has some strong options to ultimately choose between.
Keep a close eye on that Cincinnati push. They are a program that tends to identify overlooked players and zero in fast. They were able to land guys like Troy Caupain, Jarron Cumberland, and Dion Dixon in similar fashion.
